Whether your reading takes place in person or online, the connection to the spirit world is just as strong. Spirit doesn’t depend on physical location—energy is energy, and it reaches us wherever we are.
Before your reading begins, your medium will take a moment to explain the process so you feel comfortable and at ease. They will let you know that they’ll be asking for and receiving information—what we call evidence—from one of your loved ones in spirit. This evidence often includes specific details such as names, memories, personality traits, or shared experiences. The medium will relay this information exactly as it is received, without altering or interpreting it, so you can recognize and connect with it yourself.
You’ll be encouraged to answer simply with yes, no, maybe, or I don’t know as the information is shared. This keeps the flow of the reading clear and allows spirit to lead. If you have any questions before the connection begins, you’ll have a moment to ask them. Otherwise, the medium will take a brief pause to center themselves and open up to your loved one’s energy.
It’s important to know that you don’t need to do anything special to prepare—your loved ones already know you’re coming, and they’re often just as eager to connect as you are.
In my own experience as an evidential medium, I never know in advance which spirit will come forward. It’s always the one with the strongest message—the one who most wants to be heard and felt by you in that moment. And they never come empty-handed.
At the end of every reading, I always ask the spirit if there’s a personal message they want to share with you—and without fail, there always is. These messages often bring warmth, comfort, and a deep sense of love that transcends the physical world.
It is truly a sacred experience—one that honors both your grief and your ongoing connection to those you love.
