Dreams of the Departed: When Your Loved Ones Visit at Night

Dreams of the Departed: When Your Loved Ones Visit at Night

Dreams are one of Spirit’s favorite doorways. When we sleep, our analytical mind relaxes. Our defenses are down, our hearts open—and Spirit can step closer. These dreams feel different. They’re vivid, peaceful, and often filled with unmistakable love.

Not all dreams are visitations, but when they are, you’ll know. You wake up feeling comforted, even healed. The dream lingers in your memory for years because it felt real.

(I highly recommend writing down those dreams as they come to you. You might not be able to fully interpret them in the moment and find that when you look back on what you wrote at a later date they make perfect sense then.)

One man, Daniel, shared a dream he had of his late wife, Maria. “She looked so alive,” he said, “and she told me, ‘I’m not gone—I’m just living where the light is different.’” He said he could still feel the warmth of her hug when he woke up. During his reading, Maria validated that she had been visiting him in dreams, using that same phrase again: “where the light is different.” He broke down, saying, “I thought it was just my subconscious missing her.”
It wasn’t. It was love reaching across dimensions.

Spirit dreams don’t come on demand. They come when your heart is ready to receive. Sometimes it’s right after a passing, other times it’s years later. What matters is the message: I’m alive, I’m with you, and I love you.

If you’ve had dreams that felt more like visits, hold them close. They’re sacred gifts. And if you’d like to understand their meaning more deeply, I’d be honored to help you connect with your loved one in Spirit at aperfectsoul.com.
