The Myth of "Moving On"-Why Your Loved One Can Be With You Forever

The Myth of "Moving On"-Why Your Loved One Can Be With You Forever

Many times I speak with people who believe that after the passing of their loved one that the loved one has moved on.

It's my experience that this simply isn't true. After years of sitting with spirit, receiving messages of love, guidance, and recognition, I've come to understand something profound:

They don't "move on" from us.

They evolve.

They adapt.

They continue.

The idea that our loved ones must "move on" to some distant realm, unreachable and uninvolved, is more a comfort to the living that a truth of the afterlife. It helps us cope. It gives us permission to keep living.

Spirit tells a different story.

A Message That Changed Everything

I remember a session with Stephanie, who had lost her daughter years earlier.

"I've been told she's moved on," she said. "That she's in a better place and doesn't look back. But I miss her every day. And I wonder...does she ever think of me?"

During her reading, a presence came through-joyful, youthful, full of energy. I described a sensation of someone twirling in a favorite dress, and a flash of purpose-a color I kept seeing.

Stephanie teared up. "That was her prom dress and it was purple. She loved that dress."

Then her daughter said: "I'm not gone, Mom. I'm just not in your world. I'm still your daughter. You're still and always will be, my mom.

Stephanie was astonished. "I thought she was too far away to care."

Her daughter's message wasn't about distance.  It was about continuity.

In that moment Stephanie felt connection.

And that changed everything!

The Idea of Moving On is a Human Idea-Not a Spiritual One

The veil doesn't sever bonds-it transforms them.

Your loved one isn't forgetting you.

They aren't too "advanced" to notice your pain.

They aren't busy with some higher mission that erases their human ties.

They are still them!

If they loved you here, they love you there-more clearly, more fully and without the limitations of the physical world.

They find ways to reach you-in dreams, in signs, in the sudden warmth of a memory.

Spirit doesn't want you to forget them.

They want you to remember them-in your thoughts and your quiet moments.   They want you to know they're always with you.

If you've been told to "move on," or if you've felt guilty for still aching years later, I want to know this:

Your love is not a burden.

Your longing is not a weakness.

Your connection is not imagination.

It's real.

And it's honored on the other side.

They've moved closer-to a pleace where they can love you without limits.

If you've been wondering if they still know you, still care, still watch over you - I would be honored to help you hear their answer.
